Happy, Happy Sunday!  This weather we are having can’t make up it’s mind.  The high today, 73º.  I am so ready for the fall weather!

Not much going on here….just the usual.  Today, I am cleaning and doing laundry.  My kids are out of school tomorrow in honor of Veterans Day.

Today, I am thankful for….the Sweet innocent words that are spoken by children…..

Eric, myself and David went and did a little shopping on Friday.  We were maybe a block from our house….

When, I spot a deer taking a leisurely walk along the side of the road.  I knew he was going to jump right in front of us so I told Eric theres a deer and pointed it out.

I then looked in the back seat and pointed it out to David.  It was just light enough for him to see it.  I told him it was Rudolf.  And then Daddy went on and said, that Santa sent Rudolf to check things out and make sure everyone was being good.

Here is a conversation between my husband, Eric and my son, David.

Eric: Why wasn’t Rudolf flying? Santa’s reindeer are supposed to fly. David, “Why do you think Rudolf wasn’t flying??”

~~~A LONG PAUSE~~~~

David: Probably because Santa wasn’t with him…and he needs Santa and ALL his reindeer in order to fly!  He was very straight forward with his reply as well.

We both told him he was right.

The deer wasn’t no little thing at all.  He was just about the size of this deer.

It’s 46 Days until Christmas….Have you started Christmas shopping?  Are you done?  I have one child done, my niece done, my daughter almost done, I still have my brother-in-law, sister, mom, step-dad, my grandma and an adoptive grandma to buy for.  As well as 2 of my own boys.~~~Whew, hopefully, I can get them all done and bought before the 1st of Dec. (I think that is wishful thinking though.)

I also have to get some Christmas stamps before too long.

Today is full  of beautiful Sun shine.  A beautiful day for August.

So today, I am thankful for Sun Shinning Days where I don’t have to turn on my heater for warmth.  Thus, our electric bill being much cheaper with days like today.

A day where I can look outside and see a beautiful bird that has a red upside down “V” neck and what looks like a cotton tail when he flies off.  Just gorgeous.

A day where I don’t have to grab a jacket just to run outside and get the mail. Speaking of which, my mail should be here soon, if it is not already.

Two posts within a few hours of each other…..WOW!  And to think I was *thinking*about completely shutting down my blog about a month ago.  What was I thinking.

Within the last 2 weeks I have gotten this weird obsession with make up and nail polish.  I really don’t get where it is coming from.  Probably from the fact that my children are getting older and I want to look better.

Anyhow, I have found a few nail polishes that I really want to try.  These are kind of far out there colors that I wouldn’t have thought of purchasing for myself …not even last year..but now there is something about them that makes me want them.

The brand is called China Glaze.  And boy do they ever make LOTS of colors.

I think the top one is called Chocodisiac, the middle one is called For Audrey (after Tiffany’s) and the last one is called Kaleidoscope him out.

They seem pretty reasonably priced.  Maybe, Hopefully, I can find a good deal on them online or something.

Can you believe that we are in the month of THANKSGIVING!

Wow, I can’t!

So with it being the month of Thanksgiving.  Every post I make will be about something I am Thankful for…

Today, I am thankful for Music!

I love all kinds of music.  Classical, soft rock/easy listening (this tend to be my favorite), gospel, contemporary Christian, Rock, some pop….etc.

Music just puts me in a good mood…and every now in then makes me think about my past and memories…and what could have gone terribly wrong in my life but thankfully didn’t.

Also makes me focus on the positive…and what all the joyous future brings.

Music puts me in a calm relaxing mood….even the songs that you just want to get up and dance too when no one is looking…is just totally relaxing.

I think Music brings all kind of people together.  I love seeing that.

Both sides of my family are musically inclined.  Had they not been and had I not been apart of it….I don’t know if I would enjoy Music like I do today.

Three to go!  Oh, I am done with Christmas shopping for one of my boys!  YESSSS!!!!

Still have the three left.  However, I am about a third of the way done with my daughters Christmas shopping.  My older boys….Not even close to being done.

Boys are so hard to Christmas shop for….when they get to a certain age.  At least it is for me anyway.

This is what my baby boy is getting from “Santa”

It is a Lego Castle Trolls’ Dark Fortress with 844 pieces…He is going to be busy all Christmas getting it put together. I bet he asks his sister to help. Which is good.

Why do I have this feeling that I will be stepping on Lego’s all Christmas break???

Now, what in the world do I get my 9 and 12 year old boys????

Only 2 days till Halloween are you ready for all the ghost and gobblins??

Ever heard of it?  And no, it is not one of Santa’s Elves….

It stand for Eyes, Lips, Face!  I had been hearing a lot of great things about this cosmetic’s company.  I have been needing some new make up….However, since we are on a budget and I am trying to live somewhat frugal…

I thought I would give them a try.

Just about everything is a $1.00.  Their studio line is more expensive.  Starting at $3.00 and going up from there.

I am stunned, shocked and just flat-out impressed with it.  About the only thing that I wasn’t really impressed with….is that it took 11 days to get it from the time I ordered….which isn’t to bad I don’t guess.

Here is what I got….

The compact and eye lash curler was also just $1.00!!!  I love both of them.

The four single eye shadows I put in my compact.  I forget the name of them.  They were $1.00 each as well.  The compacts of eye shadow where all $1!  They are from the top  Ivy,  Silver Lining, and Dramatic.

The compact and eyelash curler.  Love them both!

This is bronzing powder in Warm tan and Clarifying Pressed Powder in Tone 1.

The clear tube is the Super Glossy Lip shine!  Love it.  In the middle is Luscious Liquid Lipstick in Ruby Slipper, LOVE IT! Last is the All over Color stick in Pink Lemonade, LOVE IT!  I have used the color stick for my checks and lips…

Since I had taken these pictures I have purchased more.  I will probably make a few more purchases before Christmas so I have them in time for the holidays.

I think one of my best features are my hands.  I have long piano fingers as my family likes to call them.

I love to have medium length finger nails that are nicely painted.  I can get my nails to grow to a certain length and then they start chipping and pealing.

I love getting acrylic nails done.  However, with having 4 kids, a house, a husband…that is just not doable or financially possible.

Glue on (or press on) nails have come a LOOOONG way since I last used them 12+ years ago.

After catching some reviews on You Tube (just by accident) I decided to find some and give them a shot.

My first purchase were Revlons  Runway collection in Starlet.

I was amazed at how gorgeous they were in the package and decided to wear them the week of Christmas.

It comes with everything you need to achieve gorgeous nails.  It comes with the small orange stick, glue, and nail file.  Along with 24 nails.  I paid $7.95 for them at Wal-Mart.

I then went back the next day because I realized I needed more practice at putting these on and decided to get another set, just a different brand.

This time I picked up Nailene Couture nails in Runway design Platinum.  It also comes with everything you need.  Just a small glue stick instead of the bigger on that is in the Relvon.  I paid $4.97 for them.

I just love them.  I love the fancy french manicure nails.  I should also let you know that both of them are in medium length.

And the best part….you can find them with all sorts of designs.  I put my nails on Saturday morning (yesterday).  It is now 7:12 and I still have all of them on snug.  I have also done laundry, washed a insane amount of dishes (dishwasher is broke)….I have really been rough on them today…and they are still hanging on.

You are suppose to get 7-10 wear out of them.  However, some women have worn them for 3 weeks with no problem.

The best thing is my nails looked just as good as a lady who just had her nails done a few days ago….in a salon.

Will I wear these constanly…no problably not…maybe every other month and on special occasions and holiday.

Here is what my finished nails look like.  I couldn’t be more happier with the way they turned out.

Just remember to follow the directions to a T!  Both sets of these nails have a glittery affect to them.  My husband even commented on how nice they looked.

When I don’t have to fight crowds, stand in long lines or feel rushed.

This morning after everyone left for school.  David and I went shopping for Christmas Gifts and a Birthday gift for my niece.

Granted this was just a very small get two gifts, maybe some stocking stuffers and go home.

And that is just what we did.

Our first stop was Wal-Mart to see if they had a icarly Sam’s remote.  They had 2 left! $9.96—-SCORE!

Then off to Toys R Us where I picked up my niece a birthday card.  I also picked up David a Dinosaur toy…..He was even with me.  I had a $5.00 off coupon for him.  Making him $9.97—SCORE!!!!!

Then it was on to Target. I wasn’t able to find much there but a stocking stuffer and ribbon to make my Christmas basket with.

Two gifts for under $20 bucks….I think I did pretty well. Considering I had one of my kids with me…and as a reward for being good I told him he could have a toy….his toy he got from the $1.00 bin. He picked his toy out with no fights and was pleased with 4 little Halloween character set.

Tomorrow, I head back to Toys R Us to pick up a birthday gift. Fun, Fun!

I know it has been a while since I last updated my blog.  I have contemplated just shutting it down….

But then I get to thinking……I really enjoy having my blog. Granted, I haven’t been on in while to post.  However, I do enjoy it.

I could blame it on Facebook!  But I will not.  I know of a lot of bloggers that have both a blog and facebook and they manage to update their blogs on a regular basis.

In a nutshell, here is what has been going on…..

• We only have one little fish left….out of our 3 that we originally had.  It seemed during the late summer we lost one a month.
• Our Beloved Black Cat Baloo died.  We miss him terribly.  And will be getting another one (probably two) in January.
• A very dear friend of mine in Oklahoma was killed by a drunk driver.  I was unable to go to his funeral.
• The kids went back to school today after a week off for fall break.
• Fall break wasn’t that great this year because it seemed like all of us just wasn’t feeling well.

That is about it in a nutshell.  Now we are getting ready for Halloween.  My kids are really excited.  I *think* this will be Daniels last year for Trick or treating.

And I am planning our Thanksgiving menu.  Do you know how hard it has gotten for me to find Canned pumpkin!!!  I use canned pumpkin a lot during late October through March.  When I see it I purchase it…but gracious…My grocery store and Walmart just doesn’t seem to be carrying it.
