Hey Guys!

  Every feel like you have nothing to say…I should rephrase that….Nothing NEW to say.  Nothing interesting to tell.  Feel like you just repeating the SAME thing over and over….

  I guess I am in a ‘rut’ so to speak and I don’t want to bore you all with the same mundane stuff.

Anyhow….

I guess I just feel….BORED. Can’t use that word…it is not allowed here at in our house.

I bought My kids a new new to us Xbox off of eBay.  It came with 2 wireless controls and one wire control.  First he didn’t send it right away….it took him about 2 weeks to get it sent.  Yes, two week.  He claimed his wife was in the hospital.  Things do happen like that so I let it slide.  We got the XBOX and low and behold it is NOT working!  He said it was ‘working’ in his description.  I emailed him and he reinbursed me $40.00 of the $63.00 that I purchased it for.  $7.99  of that $63.00 was for shipping.  I just don’t know what kind of feedback to leave him….seems like it was continually one thing after the other with purchase.  We got it working again….’but it does go on the frits everyday for about a hour to two hours or so before the kids play on it.

I found my nice camera BROKE yesterday.  It is a a Canon Digital Rebel EOS.  The Auto Focus is not working which is what I use 100% of the time.  I really detest Manual focus.  I can never get it right.  It takes awesome pictures.  Now we have to get that fixed amoung a million lot of other things that need fixing or updating.

I did open up a second etsy shop.  I just didn’t feel like my headbands belonged with my sewn items.  You can find my new shop by clicking on my etsy banner. ( I am just starting it and only have one tiny thing listed)

I am working on my next project.  I would have been done by now but I needed a snap.  So I have to wait until this evening when I can finish it up.  I don’t want to give the colors away so I made it black and white and will reveal the true colors of the fabric when I am done. 

I will tell you it is a clutch.  So far I have only one little mishap with making it…and I still need to find my seam ripper to take out the seem and start on it again….(you can’t tell I need to fix anything on just by looking at this picture…but alas I do.

**It has taken me 4 hours just to get this to post….Once I start I mess up or I click on something I shouldn’t.  UUUGGHHH….I must be having just one of those day.

Habro Toy Shop~~I did a lot of my shopping through them last year and they were SO very quick to ship!

eBay~~~Yes, I actually try to find deals on eBay.  Sometimes I find success.

Kohls~~Okay, who doesn’t just love Kohls!!!

Bath & Body Works~~~Love shopping here…I already have something purchased from them for my grandmother and my ‘adopted’ grandmother Dixie. 

Target~~~If I can’t find it in store.

Wal-mart~~again if I can’t find it in store or if it is on special or something online.

And this year I am sure I will do a lot of shopping on Etsy!

  Aren’t these Coasters just the CUTEST!!!!!  I whipped these up in about an hour.  It would have taken less time however, my two of my children just had to be around me and watch me sew these together.

These are mine.  I did find two boo boo’s but that is okay…Hey it is my first time making them.  Of course you can tell these are for Christmas.

Hey guys!

  I can hardly believe that it is already the middle of 2008 and Christmas is only 6 months away.  Now, I do realize for some of you that is a long time, some of us like to wait until Closer to Halloween or even Thanksgiving To Start shopping.

  I absolutely LOVE Christmas.  I bought my first Christmas gift for 2008 Christmas only 6 days after Christmas last year.  I too, HAVE to start early and spread out our purchases.  If I didn’t we wouldn’t be able to afford anything.

  I have also started my Menu for Thanksgiving Dinner.  Christmas dinner we usually do something fun and out of the ordinary.  Last year, we had pizza. And I made all the Christmas desserts.  I think we might do that again….who knows.

  Now, I do have to be careful now at what gifts I post because both my mother and sister read my blog now….”Geez”…No, really I love it that they take time to read it.  I am going to be emailing my sister soon about a question that I have So Shawna be on the look out in the next couple of days for a email from me.

This year I am going to make some of my own gifts to give. (so I will not be posting those until after the recipient receive it….*Hint–my sister, mom, grandmother….*

Hobby Lobby started putting out there Christmas things about a month or so ago.   I can’t wait to go in and look around….I love Hobby Lobby.  And what a added bonus to have my husband work there! 

I have been telling my kids for the last month that they need to get a Christmas list together.  Aimee already has about 30 things on her list…..

Daniel and Zach haven’t started there list.

Aimee has started a ‘birthday list’.  Her birthday is in August…

And for her special day she wants me to make a buffet style eating for her at lunch time.  She wants pancakes for breakfast.  Lunch she wants hamburgers, fries, sandwiches, deviled eggs (I make my deviled eggs just like my great-grandma Ross did), and something else.  And of course she wants a Ice Cream Cake and Ice cream itself.

I don’t know how much of that she is actually going to get but we will see.

School starts the first part of August here.  I am already done with Shopping for Zachary all he needs are his supplies, backpack and shoes.  The other two haven’t even started yet.  I need to get on that as well.

Hey Guys!

  First off, I love Blogging just don’t ever have the time to sit down and do it.  Starting tomorrow, I am going to pencil in a time for me to blog.  I love it, it destresses me and I HATE that I have been neglecting my blog.  However, it is summer and kids are out of school, just been very busy.

  The breaks on Eric’s Car went out on Friday.  The car has been in the shop since yesterday morning.  He goes to pick it up around 5/6 pm.    It is at Sears.  I just pray they did the work on it right.

  As all of you know I have started to ‘teach’ myself how to sew.  So far…..I am LOVING it.  However, it is frustrating to NO end at times.  But what isn’t?

I created these little pocket wallets….although, I don’t know if I want to call them that.  Pocket Pals is out too…

So what Should I name these when I get them to what I want them to look like.  They are almost there….

Now, I will post the pictures.  Please remember I am a Beginner.  And these are just little things that you can toss in your purse or use for quick trips.  It size closed is about 4.5 X 5 inches. They will easily hold cash, credit Cards, it even held my husbands cell.


 

Sew Fun Designs is going to be the name of my new ’sewing’ accessory business.  I plan on making accessories for the home and for your purse such as wallets, purses, totes, clutches….etc. 

I already have an account on etsy by the name and will start selling on it after the New Year.  I plan on giving away a lot of my creations as Christmas gifts.

It is almost my 1 year anniversary of blogging!!!  I can’t believe it.  I plan to blog every day when I hit my year anniversary.  And I pray i can accomplish that.

Hey Guys!

My, My My, I have not been around in a while.  Lots of things keeping me busy this summer.  The kids are doing great so far this summer.  David had his birthday this month.  He received a sprinkler and he is loving it.   All the kids are for that matter.

Let’s see…

Eric bought me a ‘learner’ sewing machine.  I like it.  However, it is a starter machine for beginners.  Which I am.  I have sewn a couple of things on it already.  My latest project was this bag. It turned out okay, I guess and Eric told me it was great for a beginner like me.  I enlarged it to 300%  I should have only enlarged it to 225% or 250% at most.

The last time I ever sewed was in 9th grade for Home Ec.  And it was a vest and I had a LOUSY teacher. 

Anyway, with that said.  I really think I am going to LOVE to sew.  I dont’ want to make ‘clothing’.  However, I am going to make my boys, husband and daughter some lounge jammies.  But that will be the extent of my ‘clothing items’. 

I want to stick with….Wallets, purses, handbags, maybe try a table runner, placemats and napkins.  I also have a idea to make an adorable pin cushion.  Just have to get that thought process all together on it and learn how to sew a bit more.

I have made 5 (which is not a lot I do realize but it is a start) total sales on Etsy.  I am finding that I love Etsy a LOT more than Feebay, I mean eBay.

And DeeJay is the FIRST person to encourage me to join Etsy.  So I will give her the credit.  She has some AWESOME things in her Etsy shop as well.  Her Etsy shop can be found here. Go and check out her AMAZING things.  She is very crafty, I tell ya’.

My kids start back to school Early this year.  I believe it is August 8th or 9th can’t remember which.  It is going to be HOT, HOT, HOT!  They have less than 2 months of summer left.  I feel kinda bad for them.  But i am sure by the time it gets here I will be ready for them to go back.

Eric has been busy with School and working 2 jobs.  He still works at Hobby Lobby.  He also works at the University as well.  I am so proud of him.  He made the Deans list this past semester.

Yesterday was my Brother-In-law’s Birthday!  Happy Belated Birthday Jason from your Favorite Sister in law….come on now you know I am your favorite sister in law. 

In All Seriousness, Happy Birthday Jason.  We hope you had a WONDERFUL day.  We all love you!

I just wanted ot remind everyone that Today is D-Day.  I know with summer activities in Full swing most people forget about this day.  Please if you happen to see a Veteran or A soldier thank them for there service.

They have rest limp and life for mine, your and everyone else’s freedom.

And please say a prayer for all the men and ladies still fighting for our country in Iraq, Afaghanistan, and around the world.

These men and women are very near and dear to my heart. As I am a retired Soldiers wife.  My husband served almost 22 years.  Part of his job was jumping out of airplanes…..

I have been having such great luck on eBay with selling my headbands….I ventured out to the world of Etsy. 

It is a little more complicated (or for me anyways) to get together.  So far, I only have 3 items listed! LOL

I make 25 to 50 headbands on any given week.  I am loving it.  I’d love to stay as busy or busier with it…if I can.

I am going to start making 1-1/5 and 1 inche headbands as well as coordinating headbands.  Just have to get the bands in and the fabric.

I am having a lot of fun making these headbands.

I also have to apologize for not posting much.  I do want to post at least one post a day.  And I make every effort to do so.  Some days I just fail at it miserably.

As most of you know, I sell on ebay.  I did have 99.9% until ebay changed there feedback policy and now it is at 99.5.  Can I just say I HATE there new feedback system as a seller.  I have a buying account as well and I think it is unfair as a buyer even.

Anyway on to this buyer emtdbg. BLOCK,BLOCK,BLOCK….you don’t want this buyer’s harrassement!

She received her item on 12.12.07 and she left this feedback~~~lightning fast shipping. great ebayer. thanks!

So I in tern on my auto feedback reply left her postive feedback. On 1.07.08 she left a follow-up comment

very crappy, item fell apart after 1 day. would not respond to request 4 refund  (She never emailed me stating that there was a problem.  I do give refunds within 7 business days if wanted.)  I was fuming at that point…because she lied.  I respond to ALL emails within 24 hours.  I didn’t receive ONE from her.

So in turn I did get a little nasty and that I am embarrassed by. And I regretted that I left it right after I did.  I replied with this….(and left it at that)

My reply:

Received 12-12. Never heard from. Would have refunded. Crappy buyer!

Then Today ONE lousy day after my birthday I received this email from her.

*Words are *** out but I bet you can guess what she said!**LOL

Yeah, i bought a this bracelet from a while back and i asked you many times, 4 times to be exact, to refund the item. You never responded, then 3 months later you finally respond to leaving me a feedback comment reply, saying that i never contacted you and that i was a crappy buyer. Yes im the crappy buyer who paid you 30 seconds after the auction ended. right. so i jusy wanted to stop by and say that its shi**y people like you that make ebay a risky place to shop. thanks for the gift that fell apart after being worn for 5 minutes, you no good c*ck s*ck*r. have a shi**y day

She sent it through eBay email channels.  I did report the email to eBay because I do feel it is harrassment and shouldn’t have got to this point to begin with.  I didn’t repspond back because I am done with this whole deal.

I just felt like other ‘blogger’s’ who ebay should be made aware of this buyer.  I just might have to make a list of bad buyers! hahhahha….This is the ONLY one out of over 3,000 transactions I have had.
