#7 Monday Madness

1. What was your biggest challenge this past week?hmmmm, that would be figuring out how in the world we are going to get our van. I think we have it figured out. Thankgoodness. That and taking care of myself Thursday and Friday and also Zachary who was sick.
2. What was your biggest accomplishment this past week? Sticking to a cleaning schedule, and it has worked beautifully. Even when sick.
3. What was the most exciting thing that happened in your life this past week?Just the thought of getting a new van makes me excited. Being that it is actually the first time I will get to pick our own van. It has either been my parents picking it out or my grandfather helping picking it out. This time it is all Eric and I and that makes it exciting….I just hate purchasing cars though.
4. What one thing made you the happiest this past week? My kids. The maturity that my kids are showing and that Yesterday Daniel accepted Jesus Christ! He was SAVED! YAYAYAYYAY!

**Will try to update once kids are off to school.***Notice I said try***

1. Do you have children in school? Yes, Three of them. Grades 5TH, 4TH, and 1st.
2. Are YOU currently in school (any level)? No, But my husband is Classified as a Junior in College and has about 2.5 years left to go.
3. Did you (or your children) attend a public or private school? My Children, myself and my husband Eric all attended Public School.
4. As far as formal education, what level have you completed? I have completed Some College, I do not know what year I would be classified in though.
5. Do you, or did you have loans out for your (or your children’s) education? No, But we are probably very soon from taking a big one out for my husband.
6. What are your thoughts on the cost of tuition for colleges and universities? They are expensive, but well worth it. At my husbands college, anything over 12 credit hours are considered “free” and all you have to pay for is the books. Which helps a lot. The books are very expensive.

Eric had taken Daniel for a trip to his grandfathers house to pick up a car. And wouldn’t you know it we had a tropical storm. Luckly, AImee and I ran to the grocery store to pick up food for 5 days. And luckly, we lived on the 3rd floor. Eric and Daniel Left October 1st in the early morning and by noon it was already starting to flood. THANKGOODNESS, I didn’t go into pre-term labor.
5. Share a “weather picture” with us. This was taken at the house that I grew up in. Located in Eakly, Oklahoma. My dad still lives in this huge house all by himself. It is 4,000 square feet!

Where it is NOT hooked up to any internet. They have to be on one of hours and are strictly monitered.

A small little update for today! Aimee and I went to walmart yesterday to pick up my grandmother a inspirational card. Aimee actually found the BEST card out of the bunch. All my kids signed the card. With the exception of my 3 year old. He drew all over the card. He made Art work on a couple of the inside pages. I handwritten a note to her on a seprate sheet of paper. Telling her she could tear out Davids Art work to put on her fridge when she gets settled.

I haven’t called her yet. I am sure everything is just SO fresh in her mind right now. My mom said that the fire started around 9 to 9:30 and they didn’t have it completely out until 2:30 in the morning.

I asked my mom to send me pictures of the damage. And I am sure that she will when she gets time. They are going to be very busy with getting everything in order the next couple of weeks.

It was chaotic getting the kids off to school this morning. But it was controlled chaos.

Still no rain here.

Please keep people in Oklahoma in your prayers. They are having HORRIBLE flooding there.

Eric has today and tomorrow off. I thought he went in today to get his lesion removed. But it is actually tomorrow. He starts back to college in one week. I think he is dreading it because he feels like he really hasn’t had a break from classes.

Next summer, he will not take any classes and he will just work 40 hour weeks next summer. He is already looking forward to Christmas Break.

Anyway, have a wonderful day bloggers! It’s a Monday, I wonder if it will be a good one……I sure hope so!

Hi All, I just wanted to make a short blog entry today as well as my Monday Madness. Eric (my husband has a blog. I read it just about every other day. Yesterday Evening, I went to read his blog. And found out that he is adding a Minor of Geography to his college Study. So he will have two Minors. He told me nothing of this. So I went and told him. “It’s pretty sad that I have to read your blog just to find out what you are doing.” He laughed. The funny thing is, this is not the first time it has happened. Since he started working and going to school. He hardly has a free moment here at home. And when he is here, the kids are all over him. Which I don’t mind at all.

He is now on his summer break from classes. Which is only two weeks. He has a couple of doctors appointments, he has to get a couple things straighten out at the college, and he is going to work two weeks of overtime. Which is great. He has a very understanding boss. And gets along well with his high ups. He works at Hobby Lobby and out of 40 employee’s. There are only 7 men. Including the Manager/Boss. He likes it and he gets a lot of craft ideas for the kids while there.

I myself like the seasonal and decor departments.
This is my kids first FULL day of school….so far it is going off without a hitch!
Have a wonderful day!

1. What ONE thing would you like to accomplish before the end of the day? To have my kitchen spotless again….I have been running around this last week like a chicken with my head cut off trying to get my kids ready for back to school. And my kitchen has suffered from it.
2. What one goal would you like to attain before the end of the month? To have gone through all my kids toys and toss what needs to be tossed and donated what can be donated to get that play room back in shape.
3. Are you a “to-do list” writer? If so, do you stick to your list and cross things off as you complete them? Oh yes, I do. I hand write one and I also have one on my computer.
4. In general, how organized do you feel you are? I would classify myself of being right in the middle of Organized and Unorganized.
5. How many piles of papers/junk mail/etc. do you have laying around your house? I don’t keep junk mail for too long. Once I come in and notice it is junk, in the trash it goes. Piles of papers and other things….maybe two.
6. Which ONE surface in your home do you have trouble keeping clean? Now, this is a easy one. The bar. It is the first surface to set things when walking into the house.through the garage.

Just three more days until the kids start back to school. And I feel that I shouldn’t be this excited about them going back to school but I am. I have come to the conclusion that it is a good break for me to have while they are at school. However, I do miss them and By the time Christmas Break rolls around I will be extremely happy NOT having to make three school lunches. Although, this year my kids are going to try eating at school some. School lunches are SO high though.
I can’t wait to spend some alone time with my three year old. I think he and the cat need a break from the older kids.
Have a Good, relaxing Monday. I will be doing my cleaning…(see above Monday Madness LOL )
