Happy Sunday!!!

Happy, Happy Sunday!  This weather we are having can’t make up it’s mind.  The high today, 73º.  I am so ready for the fall weather!

Not much going on here….just the usual.  Today, I am cleaning and doing laundry.  My kids are out of school tomorrow in honor of Veterans Day.

Today, I am thankful for….the Sweet innocent words that are spoken by children…..

Eric, myself and David went and did a little shopping on Friday.  We were maybe a block from our house….

When, I spot a deer taking a leisurely walk along the side of the road.  I knew he was going to jump right in front of us so I told Eric theres a deer and pointed it out.

I then looked in the back seat and pointed it out to David.  It was just light enough for him to see it.  I told him it was Rudolf.  And then Daddy went on and said, that Santa sent Rudolf to check things out and make sure everyone was being good.

Here is a conversation between my husband, Eric and my son, David.

Eric: Why wasn’t Rudolf flying? Santa’s reindeer are supposed to fly. David, “Why do you think Rudolf wasn’t flying??”

~~~A LONG PAUSE~~~~

David: Probably because Santa wasn’t with him…and he needs Santa and ALL his reindeer in order to fly!  He was very straight forward with his reply as well.

We both told him he was right.

The deer wasn’t no little thing at all.  He was just about the size of this deer.

It’s 46 Days until Christmas….Have you started Christmas shopping?  Are you done?  I have one child done, my niece done, my daughter almost done, I still have my brother-in-law, sister, mom, step-dad, my grandma and an adoptive grandma to buy for.  As well as 2 of my own boys.~~~Whew, hopefully, I can get them all done and bought before the 1st of Dec. (I think that is wishful thinking though.)

I also have to get some Christmas stamps before too long.

Sun Shiny Days….

Today is full  of beautiful Sun shine.  A beautiful day for August.

So today, I am thankful for Sun Shinning Days where I don’t have to turn on my heater for warmth.  Thus, our electric bill being much cheaper with days like today.

A day where I can look outside and see a beautiful bird that has a red upside down “V” neck and what looks like a cotton tail when he flies off.  Just gorgeous.

A day where I don’t have to grab a jacket just to run outside and get the mail. Speaking of which, my mail should be here soon, if it is not already.

I am on a roll….

Two posts within a few hours of each other…..WOW!  And to think I was *thinking*about completely shutting down my blog about a month ago.  What was I thinking.

Within the last 2 weeks I have gotten this weird obsession with make up and nail polish.  I really don’t get where it is coming from.  Probably from the fact that my children are getting older and I want to look better.

Anyhow, I have found a few nail polishes that I really want to try.  These are kind of far out there colors that I wouldn’t have thought of purchasing for myself …not even last year..but now there is something about them that makes me want them.

The brand is called China Glaze.  And boy do they ever make LOTS of colors.

I think the top one is called Chocodisiac, the middle one is called For Audrey (after Tiffany’s) and the last one is called Kaleidoscope him out.

They seem pretty reasonably priced.  Maybe, Hopefully, I can find a good deal on them online or something.

I am telling you there are tons of colors with sparkle and without.  Can’t wait to try them all out.

Thanksgiving….

Can you believe that we are in the month of THANKSGIVING!

Wow, I can’t!

So with it being the month of Thanksgiving.  Every post I make will be about something I am Thankful for…

Today, I am thankful for Music!

I love all kinds of music.  Classical, soft rock/easy listening (this tend to be my favorite), gospel, contemporary Christian, Rock, some pop….etc.

Music just puts me in a good mood…and every now in then makes me think about my past and memories…and what could have gone terribly wrong in my life but thankfully didn’t.

Also makes me focus on the positive…and what all the joyous future brings.

Music puts me in a calm relaxing mood….even the songs that you just want to get up and dance too when no one is looking…is just totally relaxing.

I think Music brings all kind of people together.  I love seeing that.

Both sides of my family are musically inclined.  Had they not been and had I not been apart of it….I don’t know if I would enjoy Music like I do today.
