It is a old song…But I love it, my 5 year old sings it with me!

Look it up….

Have you ever told your children or someone close to you to “Look it up!”

If my children come to me and ask me what something means….instead of just giving them the answer.  I tell them to go and look it up….rather it be searching the web or looking in a dictionary.

I rather them try to find out the meaning before just handing it to them.  I guess I feel like I am guiding them more in doing stuff for themselves first.  And then if they still have trouble, then we will guide them some more and explain to them what something means.

I tell my kids that the Dictionary and Google are their friends….

Sometimes, I wonder if all parents do this….because I know I can’t be the only mom and my husband can’t be the only dad that does this.

My kids know words that even I at the age of 36 didn’t even know and their meanings because they found out for themselves.

The dictionary….its a powerful thing!

A Small update to this post….“I have to have”

Just a little under two months and I bought something off my “Have to have list”!~

We have had it just a little over a week.  I don’t know what we did without it.

We bought our FREEZER! And we got a pretty good deal on it too with free Shipping!

Look, it even has a light! It is the ’small’ things in life that make me happy!  A light!

4 bins that move around for great ease to find things.–Kids just had to have the Popsicles!

Taken this morning!

Now, I get to stock up on all my freezer items when they are on sale!

I never would have thought I would have been taken pictures of my freezer.  I guess, I am just weird!
