When they are talking with their friends. Conversation always starts out as…..Dude,_____!
Even Aimee says “Dude”. Sometimes there friends (My own kids as well) get SO excited about telling me something. That they will call me “Dude” without even giving it a second thought. It is really kind of funny!
They don’t just say it every so often….it is with EVERY sentence! “Hey, Dude,” Or “Dude, you got to see this movie!” or “Dude, that is “Sick”.
It took me a while to figure out what “Sick” Meant! It means it is Cool or Awesome!
Also, “Shut Up”. Now, we don’t allow the words shut up to be spoken in our house. We don’t like it…it just seems rude. Anyway, “Shut Up” to tweens, and teens is something good.
It means from what this mom gathers. Something good, a suprise of sorts. Maybe something like, you have got to be kidding me….
Is this a regional thing or do teens everywhere speak in this twang???
I am even having to learn Skate boarding talk…which is a whole other slang in and of itself! Oh, GEEZ!
Kids these days!
Anyway, it has turned COLD here. And I have to head out to Wal-mart in a bit…..and dreading it. It is also my kids spring break. Don’t have anything planned…other than that during the break their rooms have to be cleaned.

We really needed a new printer. We still have two desktops that need repairs. We are going to get those repaired and set them up in the opposite corner of the office. And connect them wireless to my computer so they will receive Internet access.
Best thing…..we didn’t have to pay for ANY of it! We wouldn’t have been able to afford it otherwise. This is just one of the perks of being a retired Disabled Military Veteran. Which my husband, Eric is.
It was so rainy here this morning and overcast. Now, it is sunny and with a lite breeze. Feels so nice.

Yesterday was David’s dentist appointment. We were there for a few hours. He had 4 cavities fill. And almost 1,000 dollars of dental work done yesterday…and we still have to go back.
Luckily, we didn’t pay the 1,000. We do have dental insurance. Which thank-goodness we do. It was $200.00 out of our pocket. So much better than $1,000.00. The insurance has already paid for itself.
Why does he have to go back? He has one cavitiy that is now hitting a nerve. That needs to be pulled and a spacer put in. However, the ONLY appointment time that they had open was in Sept!!!!! She said, she would call if they had a cancellation. Which I hope they do. She did say if he starts complaining about it bring him on in on an emergency call. I will do that if it comes down to it.
She is a AWESOME dentist! David just loves her and does exactly what she asks him to do. They have a big screen tv for the kids to watch. Plus, handheld games on the wall. After his appointment in Sept. He will be due for his cleaning the next month.
Speaking of David….A few weeks ago, I blogged about David being Sick. And having a rash on his face. His face has cleared up.
Here is a before picture of David with his rash. He was sleeping. He just felt horrible. My poor boy! He of course had to sleep with his ‘Monkey’. Which his monkey’s name is-Monkey!
And now here he is all cleared up-Not a trace of the rash! It wasn’t Chicken Pox after all. Although, it did look a LOT like it.
Today was report card day! Also, half day for my kids. Daniel was home by 12:30. Aimee and Zachary were hom by 1:30.
Back to report cards….
Zachary had C’s. Which is what we were expecting.
Daniel had one A, a few B’s and the rest were C’s.
Aimee Made Straight A’s this nine weeks! We are so proud of her. There are 25 students in her class. She was the only one that made straight A’s. Only 10 made A/B honor roll. She has had perfect attendance for the whole school year as well.
Her Awards cermony is tomorrow morning. However, Eric and I can’t make it. Eric has class at the time…and David has a dentist appointment that he HAS to go to. This dentist is back up for months and David’s teeth need fillings. I am sure we will be in the dentist office for a 2/3 hours.
My kids are already in there last nine weeks of school. This year went by screaming fast!
People are out mowing there laws today or having a lawn care service out to mow. I so dread the mowing. I actually like to mow…just dread it. I know that doesn’t make any sense at all.
In one week is Spring Break For us. My kids are excited. I am just excited that I don’t have to get up at 5:30 next week. However, two weeks from now, I will be paying for it dearly when I have to re-schedule myself to get up that early.
Tonight for Dinner is Chicken Enchilada Casserole. And Then it is off to watch Dancing With The Stars. I think I have my favorite male and female picked!
I have a few friends that love Sonic Drive in. And To think that I have 5 all within pretty close driving distance to where I live! The closest Sonic is only about a mile. The furthest one away is only about 6 miles from me.
At the beginning of this video, you get to see me as well. I mention a couple of names of friends. Jennifer and another friend Pam from a message board that I am on. I also talk about going to post. Because that is my final destination. However, I will save that video for another day.
And more good news! We ’should’ be getting a new computer sometime next week! I am so excited. The one I work on is ancient!

I got in a happy place today after the kids got home from school. A picture happy place. They are not the best pictures…..Hey, I got them all to cooperate and let me take them. No huffing and puffing! That’s a good thing.
Daniel he is our pre-teen. Testing us is his big thing these days. He very rarely lets us take his picture. This time he was willing.
Aimee is our scholar. She is one year behind Daniel. I got her writing her Dare Essay.
Zachary hold up to his name. He is (What we lovingly call) our Wild child.
David is our last child. Our sweet boy…that loves all his big brothers and his big sister. The only one that has blond hair. It is actually a LOT blonder than this…..
And I can’t forget our Cat—Baloo! He will be 3 years old this April! He thinks he is King of the house. We just LET him believe that….
