What annoyies you? It doesn’t have to be anything big. Could be something small…..something that wouldn’t necessarily irrate anyone but you. Here is my NEW list of things that annoy me!
- Drivers who Tailgate!
- Drives who do not use turn signals. (must be out of blinker fluid! LOL JOKE!)
- Children & adults who do not turn off lights when not in use!
- Cabinets left open!
- Doors left open.
- Going into a room to get something….getting there and realize you forgot what you are in there for!—I do this a LOT. Drives me nuts!
- Items not put back in the proper place.
- Standing/waiting in line at a department store/grocery store waiting to check out and someone start cussing up a storm. And I am with my kids!
- Inconsiderate people. Did there parent’s not teach them…”Please”, “Excuse Me”, or “Thank You”.
- 4-Way stops (without stop lights) annoy me. It is like no one knows who goes first!
- Snooty people
- The weather! It just will not make up it’s mind!
- Gas prices. It jump 20 cents in less than 24 hours here. $1.69 to $1.89.
- My husband playing his computer games. (It really doesn’t annoy me, I just like to give him a hard time)
- School Fundraisers every two weeks to month that come home. (I have got to where I just throw them all away)
- My never ending laundry-I really don’t mind doing the laundry. It really is just neverending. Well, because there are 6 of us here.
- perfection annoys me. Nothing is perfect.
- Junk Mail!
- Extended family (not my mom or sister) annoy me!
- Neighbors dogs that bark at all hours of the night.
- when I can’t find ingredients for recipes. How Highly annoying is that?
Okay, I just touched on a few things that annoy me. Now, I did this list out of fun. Some are more serious than others. I just know I am not the only one that has little things (or big for that matter) that annoy them.
This list came about from the list of “The things I love”. …..
It is almost MARCH! I can’t believe it. Just wish the weather would turn to spring!
Have a Great Weekend!

Today, was errand day. I had to run to the post office. Had to pick up stamps and mail off two international packages. Be purchasing those forever stamps! Stamps go up again in May!
I then made a stop at Hobby Lobby. Had to pick up some fabric and supplies. Of course. You just can’t look at the fabric in Hobby Lobby. You have to look at the home decor, the holiday and seasonal sections. And you can’t forget the craft section for kids. They had all their Valentines stuff marked 90% off!!! Granted. They didn’t have a lot left…but still has some nice heart shaped plates left and more odd and ends. I purchased a heart shaped plate and a wood valentine decor item. Both items cost me 90 cents EACH!!!! Both of them were $8.99 regular price.
Here are my cute Valentines day buys…

I am going to use the plate as either a candy/cookie plate or a candle holder. I LOVE candles and have them everywhere. I am thinking about going back tomorrow and picking up a few more of the plates….just hope they have some left. (might try and go this evening).
I then had to go to walmart. And Of course I can’t get out of walmart without spending $50.00! And I forgot two things I needed. Hose and my minutes card for my cell phone. I had to make another trip back there to get those.
I also went and filled up on gas. Gas is $1.68 here. It cost me $5.77!!! I had used just a little over a quarter of a tank. I love that my car is SO good on gas!!!!
And when I got home the Title to my car was in the mail! I am 35 years old and this is the first time, that I have only had MY name on a car title. It feels SO good! Eric isn’t even on it! I have become a bit obsessed with keeping my car clean. I clean it at least once a week. I am so paranoid something is going to go wrong with my car (knock on wood) ……I keep looking at the odometer and checking the corner tag to check the mileage for my next oil change.
That is about my day in a nutshell. We did stop by McDonald’s for lunch. I would have preferred Sonic. However, Little boy decided where to eat lunch and that was his choice.
Tomorrow, more bill paying and running a few errands!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Thursday! It is almost the WEEKEND! YAY~~

Not feeling to well at the moment. So I thought I would do this…make it short for today.
What is in my purse/handbag! I would also like to see what you carry in your handbag/purse as well. It has really been about a year and a half since I really even carried a bag. For one, I really didn’t get out that much. That has changed now that I can get up and go….
This isn’t the purse I would have chose. It is close to what I want. I really want a lime green purse. Since this one was close and a deal at $2.00….you just can’t hardly beat that.
My Handbag and contents….

And I did get my haircut and I love it! It is short. Although looking from the front you really can’t tell a difference. I caught the cold that my kids had…so I would take a picture…..But I look just awful.
I can really see that I could get to where I carry a lot of stuff around with me in my handbag! Thus, I will need a bigger bag. Which I am trying to refrain from carrying everything but my kitchen sink in my bag!
I had to take David to the doctor on Monday morning. His face was ALL broke out. They gave him some meds…and it is clearing up. Once he clears up…I will show you the before the meds and after the healing is done. We noticed a huge difference within 24 hours of him being on it.
Hopefully, I can get pics up by the end of this week!
Now what do you have in your purse/Handbag?
About that…What do you call your purse? Is it a purse? Handbag? or just a bag? I use Handbag more than purse!
Have a wonderful Day!

Today, is my oldest son’s birthday! He is 12 years old! WOW, does time fly! We celebrated his birthday on Saturday. His favorite gift was a Red Ipod Shuffle with his name and birthday engraved on it. I believe he already has 147 songs on it. It holds 1,000 songs.
They are allowed to take ipods to school. Daniel was excited about getting to listen to his favorite music on the way to school. All of it is Contemperary Christian Music. With the exception of ONE song. He really wanted “Sweet Home Alabama” on it. So we loaded that up for him as well.
Twelve years just FLYS by!
He went from this…

To This…

In what seemed to be just a blink of my eyes! He is such a thoughtful and caring kid! I couldn’t be happier that he is my son! Happy Birthday Daniel-Jacob!

On a side note—I had to take David to the Doctor today. He is sick and has a rash on his face. It is just on his face. It is either a Rash from his body trying to fight off an infection. Or it is the Chickenpox. He is on antibiotic creme and if it isn’t better by Friday. He is to be seen again….and then they will start treatment for Chickenpox. I am praying this creme works.
I hope you all have a fabulous week!

My kids ROCK, I tell ya! They really do! Okay, I admit I am bias! However, THEY ROCK!!!!
They are always suprising me. Yesterday, we celebrated Daniels Birthday. He turns 12 tomorrow. However, It is a school Day, Eric has to work and go to school and will not be home until way after Daniels Bedtime. And we didn’t have it today, because Eric has to go to work and Daniel received a couple of Games for his birthday that we knew he would want to play. Beside the awesome gifts he got…he received a total of $65.00 cash.
Daniel purchased a Naruto book for $6.00 and a Board game called,”The Dangerous Book For Boy’s Game!” We played it last night and had a blast.

Did I mention he only paid $5.65 for the board game. It was regularly, $24.99!
Then last night I took him to Walmart. I told him, he could get whatever he wanted. It was his money. He asked to go look at the clothes. So we did. He purchased himself a Zip up hoodie for $7.00. And it is RED. His favorite color. And he picked out a blue skate boarding shirt for $5.00. He didn’t complain. He wanted clothes. He usually complains when I take him shopping for clothes. So this was a nice shopping experience for the both of us.
He went to the movies this afternoon to see Pink Panther. He paid his own way. So that was $7.00. He is doing really good with budgeting his money.
And Zachary. He is my very special little boy. He is my child that has severe ADHD. However, he could also be Bi-polar as well. The doctor (and we agree) want to wait it out a while to see if he has anymore symptoms of being Bi-polar. He will eventually be tested for it when he is older. If he is still having problems. Which we don’t think he will be.
When Zachary entered 2nd grade. He couldn’t count to 10. I am not joking. Anything we did to work with him didn’t help. As soon as we got his ADHD diagnoses. I started ‘teaching’ him and working with him a little differently. I can’t work with him LONG periods of time. The longest we have ‘worked’ on school work at a time is 15 minutes. Then we have to take a break.
Zachary and I have been working on his numbers and counting. And it just didnt’ seem to click. However, I was surprised by him last night. I was making tacos and talking with Eric. All the kids were in the kitchen/breakfast nook and Zachary started counting at random. I didn’t stop him. But was shocked when he counted ALL THE WAY TO ONE HUNDRED AND FIVE! With only a little of assistance. I helped him 3 times. That is it! His hard work IS paying off. 105!!!! From not being able to count to 10. And now to 105. I asked him to count again this morning. And he did it again!
This is a HUGE accomplishment for him! I am SO SO very proud of him.
Aimee is doing awesome in school. David amazes me with the words he is using to make sentences. Big words…Really big words!
I guess this turned into a Mommy Brag! Sorry~
I hope you all had a terrific weekend.
Take care!

Hey Guys!
Real life really caught up with me this week. Here is just a Sampling of what I have been up too.
- David broke out in a rash. Head to toe. Wasn’t hive. Dr. Said so. Still do not know what it was. It is gone now.
- Zachary was sick for a couple of days.
- David is still sick. He had fevers and a few pimple like rashes on his face. Still don’t know what he has. We think just the common cold. Zachary had the SAME thing.
- Zachary has been complaining of his legs hurting him. Right behind his knee caps. On bothof them. This morning they hurt him so much he was in TEARS all morning. He almost missed the bus. Phoned the advice nurse. She said to give him Motrin for the pain. He could have restless leg syndrome or something like that. He has been complaining about his legs hurting for the last month. However, he has nevered cried like he did today.
- I HAD to send Zachary to school today. I didn’t want to but had to because he has only missed 8 days of school due to illness.
- My car is now registered. And is AWESOME on gas. I went 233 miles on 4 gallons of Gas! (That is how many miles I have actually put on it since getting it.)
- We had horrible high winds for a few days…and it took off some shingles on our house.

- Received a bill for the repairs of $100.00. Notice the gutter’s down spout is missing. I am really missing two. However, in order to get them fixed. We have to get the $100.00 paid first. We have a month to pay it. So I guess it will get done eventually.
- We have a new goldfish. Now we have four. One for each kid. There names are Roxie, Moxie, Doxie and Loxie. I know, a lot of ‘Oxie’s’ there.
- Aimee started on her science fair project that HAS to be done in order for her to graduate in May.
- I have to start looking for her a casual dress to wear on graduation day.
- I have to start looking for me a outfit to wear as well.
- Eric loves his job at the Library.
- Daniels 12th Birthday is Monday.
- Daniel is getting a hair cut tomorrow. It will be a shag type of hair cut. I guess shag hair cuts on boys are the ‘in’ thing now.
- I really should be making a headband order I have instead of blogging.
- I have decided to make a Taco night and a Breakfast night for Dinner each week. That will help me plan better and give me a ‘cooking’ break so to speak.
- I have a ‘cheap’ cell phone now. When I mean cheap. I mean I spent $14.95 on the cell phone and will only have to pay $20.00 a month for a card..that gives me 200 minutes. I have it through Virgin Mobile. And it is a pink phone!
- David has a dentist appointment coming up in March. I have to make a phone call sometime next week and see what Day in March.
- I will be starting soon on getting stuff together for my kids for school NEXT year. I have to start early due to FUNDS!
- Eric and I want to start going back to church. He is uncomfortable about going back to the church he did attend. And So am I for one reason or the other. It is not good to be uncomforable in a church. So we are looking now. We ‘thought’ we had found one. However this church only uses the King James Version of the bible. Eric really doesn’t care too much for that.
- We have a teachers conference with one of Daniels teacher’s next Wednesday. I am really not looking forward to going to.
- I have noticed that I have anxiety now about going anywhere. I can go to Walmart with out having anxiety…but other places…I just can’t explain.
- And finally we are going today to get my car regsitered on post. And get my new military ID card. My military id card expired in 2007! –EEK Once I have that I can take the kids to the doctors appointments and go shopping on post!
~~~WHEW~~~~~
I hope you all have had a fabulous week. This weekend, I am going to spend some time reading all the blogs…and getting caught up!
Take Care!
That is how long Eric and I have been married. It is so amazing at how time FLYS by! I Love that my anniversary is on Valentines Day. Did we plan it that way??? Well sorta, kinda….no! It just happened that way. We met on Jan. 1, 1994 and married on Feb. 14th, 1994.
And as HARD as I try I always ask for more on my anniversary…because it is also Valentines Day. Sometimes, It works and I have a extra special day. Other times….not so much!
If you do the math, Eric and I only knew each other for 45 days before we married. Now, I DO NOT recommend this….No, No, NO! It, by the Grace of God has worked for us!
So with that said…I thought I would share a few little details about Eric and I both in general and how we met.
We met on Jan. 1, 1994. It was at a Dance Club in Oklahoma City. I had been in a HORRIBLE relationship and was not looking to meet anyone. It in fact was my mother who encouraged me to go out that night. So I did.
We only danced a few slow dances before we both left for the night. He even walked me back to the car. He got my number. And I ‘thought’ that was that. He was passing through Oklahoma. Staying with his mother. He was in the Army and on his way to his next duty station.
Before, I even made it back to my apartment he had called me and left me a message. Saying, “I just wanted to make sure that you got back home okay. AND that you gave me the right phone number.” I started getting dressed for bed…when the phone rang again. I picked it up and it was him. We made plans to get together later on that day. I lived an hour from where he was staying. He drove from OKC to Weatherford, Oklahoma just to see me.
We went to see the movie ‘Tombstone”. And Sonic for dinner.
He was only going to be in Oklahoma for 3 more weeks before heading out. We spent a lot of time together during those weeks. Toward the end. He asked if I wanted to drive down with him to his next duty station. I decided that I think it would be fun to go to Nashville and Clarksville, TN with him. So, I went.
It was on that trip that I learned everything there is to know about the Dallas Cowboys and football in general. You can’t be dating a Texan and NOT know anything about the Cowboys. That just isn’t right.
We had a great time. I flew back home on Feb. 3, 1994. Don’t ask me how I remember Dates. I guess dates are really important to me. However, on Feb. 9th, 1994….I was in the air on the way back to Nashville. Did I tell anyone….NO. Not a good idea. Looking back on it. However, I kind of knew the reaction I would get from my family. One to take it slow since it wasn’t to long previously that I had ended a very futile relationship.
On Feb. 13th 1994. Eric and I decided to get married. We went the next morning to get the marriage license. We were married by noon on Feb. 14, 1994. He was back at work by 1 pm. No Honeymoon, No Wedding showers.
I have no regrets about marrying Eric. A lot of relatives….just didn’t think it would work. But it has. And I am SO blessed that I have Eric as a husband and VERY VERY blessed beyond belief that he is the father of our children.
So with that said….”Happy 15th Wedding Anniversary! We made it to our Crystal Wedding anniversary! And that is SOMETHING!” Today, we have known each other for 15 years and 45 days! I love you more now…then I did then…and that love grows everyday.
Is the phrase I can’t stand hearing…I know that there are parents out there with more than 4 kids. So why on Earth do I get this comment all the time! My response to them Yes, my hands are full with Wonderful blessings. That I wouldn’t have otherwise.
When Eric and I first married. We talked about how many children we wanted. We both agreed on 3 or 4. After Zachary was born. I thought that was it. But God, had other plans in mind. And we ended up with 4.
Have we sacrificed…oh Certainly…but it is for the greater good. Have my kids gone without? No. They are well feed, clothed and have a roof over there heads. Do I sometimes feel like I am going to completely loose my mind….OH ABSOLUTELY! Do I spend enough quality time with each of them??? This is something I fight with myself over. However, the Answer is I don’t think ANY parent feels like there is enough hours in the day to spend the amount of time they want to spend with there child/children. Do my kids get individual time with us? Absolutely. What about Love? I tell ya one thing…my love grows strong and strong for my kids with each passing second.
The thing is….With each set of parents it is different…Only having one child is what you want…That is fine too. Maybe it is two, three or 20 (not that I would want that many! Who knows. I don’t think I have ever told a mother…”You have your hands full”…Well because it is quit obvious that they do…and they have probably got that a lot.
One thing my kids will always have is my husband and I…and there siblings. I am the oldest of two. My sister is 8 years younger than I am. I am so Thankful my parents decided to give me a sibling. My sister is one in a Trillion! And she is a AWESOME mother herself. And My mother….well, she is just amazing. She is a AWESOME grandma. She doesn’ t show favorites. Worries about and loves them all. If something good happens with my kids. Besides Eric. She is the First one I call. And Vise Versa. She is one of my kids (and my nieces) Biggest Fan.
Before I ask a question or pose a comment to a fellow mother…..I always ask myself…How would I feel to get asked that question….and sometimes. I don’t end up asking the question. This comment really does just get on my nerves.
Moving on….Going to get my car registered Today or tomorrow. It might wait until tomorrow…because it is really windy here. And hopefully by Friday I can get my tires changed. When I first bought the car….I really didn’t like the looks of it or the inside of it….but it is growing on me slowly.
I hope you all are having a fantastic day.
Take Care.
Hey Guys,
I am so sorry that it has been SO long since my last post. I have been pretty busy here! They last two days have been super beautiful outside. My boys went to school in shorts today and my daughter wore capris-in the middle of February.
Now…for my Good Thing! I have been without a car for a couple of years. It has slowly become awful NOT to have a car around to drive when I need it…say- When the kids get sick or I might have needed to run to the grocery store.
Well that is NO more! I have a CAR!!!!!! No, it is not my first choice. But it is a car. A decent car and it will get me from point A to point B. Which is what we were looking for. We went to pick it up in Nashville on Saturday.
I got a 2001 Silver Dodge Neon SE. The seller was a bit odd…so I was glad to have Eric there with me. I took it on a test drive. However, I knew before the test drive that I would be bringing it home…because we needed something for me…and this was in our price range. And we had to get it That weekend. So I did.
Let me tell you. It looks okay on the outside….a few little dings and scratches…but it is 8 years old….can’t expect it to be just perfect.
The inside was another story. They said “It’s clean inside”. Well it might have been there kind of clean….but not mine. Now, I love animals. I really do. But I also believe in cleaning up after your animals. They owned a white dog. And this was the car they used to take it to the vets….etc.
It was disgusting. I spent a total of 3 hours just cleaning out the driver side and passenger side seat areas….the back seat as well had dog hair and dead bugs….YUCK! There is still stray dog fur in the car…which I will just have to get it out as time goes on…However the car now looks 100% better than it did before.
So here it is…
The inside. This was really bad I tell ya! I spent 20 minutes cleaning dirt and make up off the steering wheel!
All I have to do now…is get it tags. That will happen in a couple of days. Hopefully, no later than Wednesday. Get two new front tires. Yes, both front tires are just about bald. One tire is starting to crack…so it needs to be changed.
Then I need to take it to post and get it registered on base. That will not cost anything but my time. Then I am good to go! WHHOOHHOO!
And this Saturday…..I am getting my haircut! I will take before and after pictures. I just don’t know if I will post the before picture yet or not.
Out of the 5 choices I posted I am leaning more towards this haircut. #5
However, the other one I REALLY like is #2.
I am taking both pictures with me. I am REALLY Leary of getting my hair cut short…for the simple fact that it takes FOREVER for my hair to grow. However, I am in need and wanting a change. So which ever one of these I get I am sure I will like it. —-hopefully!
I hope you all have had a wonderful Day!
Take Care!
Oh Yeah, The car is my anniversary, Valentines Day and Birthday Present all in one….so I will TAKE it!
**I forgot, Today, is one of my FAVORITE uncles Birthdays….Happy Birthday Uncle Freddie! I LOVE YOU LOTS!!!! Hope you had a TERRIFIC DAY! Miss you!**
