A New Day……

January 6, 2009 · 1 Comment

And my older three kids are off to there first day back at school.  Only managed to have one grumpy gus this morning.  And I can kind of see why.  He has to get up at 5:15 in the morning to make it to his bus stop by 6:40 am.  Yes, that Early.  Poor Kid.  Oh-I am talking about Daniel.

Aimee was excited to get to school to see what her friends got for Christmas and to tell about her favorite gift she received.  Which was her guitar.

Zachary couldn’t wait to see his friends and teachers.  He is usually the one that doesn’t have the gumption to get up and get going in the morning.   He was ALL about getting ready this morning.

And they all wore there new clothes that they received for Christmas.  They looked so good and were all so thrilled to get to school.

Now, for me.  Yesterday, I started two projects.  One is a doosey.  The other is going to take longer than I first thought.

The Doosey~~~We I’m cleaning out the play room and getting all the toys (mostly the boys) in there own rooms.  We found out that even the idea of a play room is great.  The kids would get the toys they wanted and then just take them to there room to play with anyway.  All of Aimee’s toys are in her room since her room is on the first floor and the play room is on the second floor.

The toys that are broke are just being tossed.  The toys that are perfectly fine but are missing a few pieces are being sent to Good Will.  The toys that are in excellent shape I will sell. Most of the toys are BIG toys that they haven’t played with in a couple of years.  So far, I have one plastic bin full of toys that need to find there matching toy homes.

And I have a black trash bag half filled with broke toys.

We are going to make the play room into a family/media room.  It is a BIG room it is 12 x 22.  We are going to bring our big TV up from the living room and turn the living room into the Formal living room it should be.   We are going to get a big square coffee table for the family room and more than likely a sectional as well as a over-sized chair for the family room.  Plus, we have three t.v’s in the house.  We only want two.    So this will get rid of the one we don’t need.

It is just a chore getting all the boys toys organized into there rooms and into the right bins (this is a big problem because Zachary and David share a room and they both like there own toys to be separated.

It might takes us a while…at least we are getting a start on it.

My second project which is EASY but is going to take me forever.  Is that I am making a Valentines Day wreath out of Tulle.  It will be cute.  And I will post a tutorial after it is done.  I think I should have starting in Early December with it.

And I am patiently waiting for all our tax documents to come in so we can file our taxes!  I have one down about 5 more documents to go.

And My nieces birthday is Tomorrow I believe.  I have got to email my sister and find out what my niece wants for her birthday.  Yes, it will get there late…Sorry Shawna.  I don’t know where my brain is sometimes.

And my oldest sons 12th birthday is NEXT MONTH!  My gosh, when did a pre-teen enter my house!!!  It is also my anniversary month!

I hope your 2009 has started off with a BANG!

Have a wonderful Tuesday.  Take Care!
