Do you remember?????

August 31, 2008 · 7 Comments

A list of First…..

Do you remember the first time you:

-rode a bike
-flew in a plane
-spent Christmas away from home
-went on a date
-kissed someone (not a family member)
-drank alcohol
-cooked a meal
-attended a funeral
-attended a wedding

On this list there is ONE that I haven’t done…..Can you guess????  A lot of people I have talked with are surprised when I tell them??????  Which they really shouldn’t be.  I have NEVER in my entire 35 years of life drank Alcohol!  Not even a sip!  I have never had wine or champagne as well.  This is something that I am extremely proud of.  I also have NEVER smoked.  I am also extremely proud of that. My mom and grandparents raised me right.    I was known as the ‘goody-goody’ girl in high school and I am so proud of that.  I didn’t care if they meant it in a ‘degrading’ sense.  I took it as a wonderful thing. I think my parents are to this day still proud of that.  I know I am.  I have no desire to even try either!

I do not know when I learned to ride a bike.  I am sure my mother does though.  I believe I was probably around 5 or 6 years old.

I had my first Plane ride when I was 17.  Going to the Padre Island on My Senior Trip.  My parents where class parents and they were there as well.  I still remember that trip and how much fun I had.

Spent Christmas Away from home.  I guess that would be my first ‘married’ Christmas away.  So that would have been the Christmas of 1994.

Went on a Date…..hmmmmm I think it was around 15 or 15 and a half.  My first ‘real’ date was with a guy named Chris.  He eventually Married and Divorced Olympian Shannon Miller.  We ‘dated’ for about 4 months.  He is now a plastic surgeon.

Kissed someone….I guess that would have to be Chris (C.B. his nick name initails) as well.  Although, I do believe I was kissed in the 5th grade…..Oh Gosh, My daughter is in the 5th grade!  Heaven help me.

Cooked a meal….My first ‘real’ meal would have to be when Eric and I were married.  I do remember cooking when I was in High School although I don’t remember making a meal.  I am sure my mother knows this also.

Attended a Funeral.  This I remember like it was yesterday.  I was 8 years old and I went to my Great-Grandpa Richardson’s Funeral.  I have only been to one other funeral since and that was my Grandpa Coats’ Funeral.  I remember that one vividly as well.

Attended a Wedding….that would be My Aunt Luannes Wedding.  I handed out ‘programs’ at her wedding and then a few months later I was flower girl at my Uncle Gary and Aunt Lisa’s wedding.

Do you remember any of your firsts???

I hope you all have a wonderful day!

Is it too Early to talk about….

August 28, 2008 · 4 Comments

Hey Guys,

Is it tooooooo Early to talk about Halloween?   My kids love Halloween.  I do not like all the treats that go along with it though…..

Anyway,  My kids are deciding what they want to be for Halloween. Daniel I believe is still unsure.  He probably wants to be some character I have never heard off.

Aimee she wants to be Thelma from Scooby Doo.  Which actually fits her.  I was going to purchase the costume on-line but found out all I need to find is red knee high socks, black shoes, a red skirt and a Orange Turtleneck, and the glasses and we will be good to go.  Aimee’s hair is already cut just about like Thelma’s hair.

Zachary, he will more than likely want to be something from Star Wars.  You just never know what is going through Zachary’s mind.  He could change his mind and want to be something totally different a week before Halloween.

David has had his halloween outfit picked out for some time.  I just have got to find it online or try to make it before Halloween.  He wants to be Alvin from Alvin and the Chipmunks.  I think I know what to do for the pants and for the ‘A’ sweat jacket Alvin wears. I just don’t know how in the world I am going to get him to look like a chipmunk.

This year Daniel and Aimee are old enough to go trick or treating by themselves.  They usually walk around the sub-division with friends.  And they usually come home with WAY to much Candy.

Eric is going to try and take off work this year so we can take Zachary and David around Together.  This will be David’s very first time out.  In the past, he has just stayed home and helped me hand out candy.

I think the tricky part is going to be putting this together on a budget of no more than $20.00 a kid.  I would love to keep it around $10 to $15 a kid.  But I just don’t know if that is possible.  And we will probably start purchasing Halloween stuff soon…as we have 4 kids to dress up on Halloween.  But I am going to see if I can keep it all under $20.00 a kid.

Do they even make knee high socks anymore???   I am sure they do….I guess I can check at Walmart and Target, maybe Kohls as well…..

And I have got to start planning our Thanksgiving Dinner.  Aimee and David love helping me in the kitchen so I will sit down with the kids soon and ask them what all they want so we can start purchasing the non-perishable foods and such.

This year just seems to be FLYING by doesn’t it????

I hope you all have a wonderful Thursday!

I just can’t stop myself….

August 26, 2008 · 2 Comments

Another Mom Brag ahead!

I will start off with Daniel. Daniel had a rough time of school from K-3rd. He starting picking up his pace in the 4th grade. And in the 5th grade we saw MAJOR improvement. However, now in 6th grade…..he is BLOWING us away. He has brought home ALL A’S and B’s. No bad grades. He has adjusted well, even better than we thought he would with Middle school. He has made TONS of new friends. He personality is shinning through. He even seems to be more outgoing. Now Aimee. In Geography/History. The kids had a quiz Yesterday over the capitals and last week of the states and there abbreviations. The teacher told them from the FIRST day of school that they would be having a quiz. And what it was going to be over. There first day of school was the 8th of August….so all the kids had plenty of time to study. For the abbreviations Test the teacher gave them a blank map and they were to fill in all the abbreviations to the states using that map….and they had to get them in the right place. Aimee was the ONLY girl that got them ALL right! Two of the boys in her class got them all right. As a result of that Aimee and her two classmates to do not have to take the retest this Thursday.
Then yesterday, On her birthday no less. She has the capitals test. She was the ONLY person out of 28 students in her class to get them all RIGHT! One student missed 43 of the capitals!
She also brought home her Achievement test scores from last year. She scored advanced in EVERYTHING….except for Social studies and she was only off by a few points to scoring advanced in it. Her reading Mathematics, and Science Test results were extremely advanced.
She also brought home all graded papers to date. (now we can check grades online now….however, it does take the teachers a few days to a week to get them all online. Out of 23 papers and 2 spelling test that she brought home she made all A’s on and only 1-B.

Aimee was heartbroken though. Since Yesterday was her birthday she went to school thrilled. She came home upset because the only person to wish her a Happy Birthday at school was her best friend. Every morning they make an announcement over the loud speaker and mention every child that has a birthday on that Day. On Fridays they mention the kids birthday for the weekend. Aimee’s teacher likes it VERY quite then so she can hear. They said her name. She was suppose to get a ‘gift’ of a pencil and stationary set for her birthday at school. She didn’t get it. Also her teacher didn’t even wish her a Happy Birthday.

Now Zachary….He is our Wild Child. And I just know that one of these days a teacher of his is going to want to have him tested for ADD. He is that Hyper…although he can calm himself down.
Usually this kid gets a stick pulled for misbehavior at least 3 times a week. To date he has only had one stick pulled.  That is an accomplishment for him. He has brought back all good grades and seems to be paying more attention in class.

He has two teacher and he like both of them. He also has 30 students in his class. And he loves it. They have two of the BIGGEST classrooms in the school. One room just has there desk. You walk through a small hall into the next room where it is filled with learning tools such as a science lab, reading area, group time area, computer area. Just a lot of interaction. Zachary is doing VERY well with it. Although, he does prefer one teacher over the other. Just pray he can keep it up…

I know you are all probably tired of my Mom brags.   Now, I know what my mom felt like when my sister and I accomplished something and did so well at it.  She was and still is one of our biggest fans.  The best thing about it…,.My mom stayed a strong fan of our even if we messed up or went through some rough patches.  She was always there and I will always be so Thankful for my mom.  I LOVE YOU MOM!

I hope you all have a fabulous Tuesday!

I never thought….

August 24, 2008 · 1 Comment

Hey Guys,

I never thought that my family would ever read my blog.  Or ever ‘happen’ upon it.  But they have.  :)

I don’t know my extended family very well. However, with that said, I love them ALL dearly.  (No sucking up…..REALLY) In all seriousness, I do love them all dearly.  I think that they are all pretty cool and awesome.  However, most of the things or stories I know about them…I get from my husband Eric….which is probably pretty one sided.

My in-laws are My brother in Law Troy (Hope you are on the mend Troy), his wife Debbie.  Their Children Chris and Katie.  My Sister in Law Leslie, Her husband Micheal.  Their Children Emelia and Brock.

Troy is the oldest, Eric (My husband) is the middle child and believe me he lets ya know it, and Leslie is the youngest.

Troy, I have stated in another post is what I would want out of a big brother if I ever had one.  I have a little sister and no brothers.  Now, it has been almost 10 years since I have seen Troy.  My son David who is named after him….is a good mix of my mother in law, my brother in law and my sister in law and I am not kidding.  This kid looks like them.  A very good combo of all of them put together.  I think he took the best qualities of all of them to make him such a good looking smart kid.

Leslie is SO very fun to be around.  I think she is very witty and has great come backs to her brothers picking on her.  She is a FAST talker (Aimee must take after her she also talks a mile a minute). She is so sweet, VERY outgoing….has a wonderful decorating style.  She is so nice to talk with.  She got me through the last couple of hours of child birth with Aimee.  Although, I don’t know if she remembers that.

My brother in law Michael (Leslies Husband) and My sister in Law Debbie (Troy’s wife) are AWESOME people.  They would have to be to put up with all the stuff that their spouses put them through.  I know, I live with one of those spouses.

My nieces and nephews.  I don’t know them very well….I do know that they are super smart, outgoing, children that are gorgeous to boot.  Oh Sorry Chris and Brock you guys are just Handsome as can be.  Although, I have never seen Brock with the exception of ONE picture when he was a baby….*hint, hint* Brock and David share a birthday….so I know Brock has got to be one amazing kid.  All my nieces and nephews are amazing to me.

Total I only have 3 girl nieces and 2 nephews.  This is with my sister’s daughter included.  And she has already told me that they are not having anymore.

Speaking of my sister…I have to get her in here too because she is also reading.  My sister is 8 years younger than I am.  She takes more after my mom’s side of the family.  I take more after my dad’s side.  She has black hair and coal black eyes.   She is super intelligent.  She was a special ed teacher.  However, now she is going back to school to get her master’s in speech pathology.  She used to I don’t know if she still does or not sing at the Oklahoma Opry.  She has a super strong set of lungs and a great voice.

Jason my brother in law (my sisters husband) is a total OU (Oklahoma University) fan.  He loves football.  He loves to fish and I believe hunt.  He is the son of my schools rival principal.  At least they used to be not anymore. Since my school closed it doors several years ago.   I am sure he and Eric would get a long just fine.

Maybe my sister will allow me to share a picture of her, her husband and her daughter.  I will have to have a chat with her about that.

All in all….I was blessed with a great family….

I do want to give a BIG Shout out to Chris, Katie, Emelia, Brock and Dayona!  Uncle Eric, Myself, Daniel, Aimee, Zachary and David, All love you very much!  ~~~~Big HUGE hugs from your Tennessee Relatives~~~

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.

Sorry, if you knotice any typo’s I was typing very fast as to get back to my kids and husband downstairs.  I did use spell check but went through that fast as well.

Good Deals & Stuff

August 23, 2008 · 3 Comments

Hey Guys,

Eric and I took Zachary and David shopping.  We had to get some more school supplies and Zachary a new backpack.  Anyway,  We did find Zachary a backpack onsale at Target for $8.99.  We snatched that up real quick.  Walmart had no backpack’s left at all.

We then headed over to the PACKED (you can tell college is starting next week) mall.  We first went to Old Navy.  We bought Aimee two pairs of jeans for a total of $14.00.  And Daniel two pair of jeans for $14.00.  We got 4 pair of jeans for $28.00.  Eric also picked up a shirt that was on sale for $8.00.  And then two more polo shirts for school and work.  Those were not on sale.

We then headed over to Payless.  Daniel needed a new pair of shoes and David needed a new pair of shoes. They were having a BOGO (Buy one get one half off) Sale.  Daniels shoes were originally $25.99.  We ended paying $19.99 for them.  We then bought David some white sneakers they were originally $15.99.  Sale price $9.99.  And then I found David a cute pair of slip on canvas shoes with black monsters on them.  They were orginally 10.99.  We got them on sale for $5.49.   In total at payless we save $17.50.

It was hot and humid.  I really hope it rains…We could really use the rain.  But we had a good time.  Old Navy even gave us a Canvas bag.  Love it!

Mom brag ahead.  Aimee had her abbreviations over all the states last week.  She was the ONLY girl to get them ALL RIGHT.  And only 2 other boys got them all right.  She was SO proud of herself.  The teacher gave them a blank map to put the abbreviations on.  Aimee even placed them all in the right spots.  Monday she has her capital test.  She loves it that she knows Capitals and her brother only knows a few.

We can now check there grades daily online.  Aimee has all 100’s and a 98 in Reading…So Far.  Zachary has a 98 in math and that is far as the grades posted his teacher’s have.  Daniel we don’t know about yet, we will get to find out at his open house next month.

I just wanted to do a quick blog post today.  All the kids seem to be feeling better and that is a huge relief.

Have a wonderful Weekend!

About David….

August 21, 2008 · 3 Comments

Let’s see…

When I was pregnant with David.  I literally, prayed for a healthy, blond hair, blue eyed baby.  All my other kids are dirty blond or brown/Auburn.   It didn’t matter what sex to me because I had two boys and 1 girl.  Although, I did want to have a girl so Aimee would have a sister.

My German Doctors went round and round with what I was having.  First, a girl, several weeks later a boy and then back to a girl. In Germany you get a ultrasound at every visit.  Also in Germany, you have to have had a child to do this.  But at 37 weeks they will enduse you.  No doctors orders needed.

I could have went in at 37 weeks.  However, I wanted to give him more time.  We tried to shoot for my birthday.  But that didn’t work out with sitters for our other 3 children.  So we had to decided on June 1st.  When the sitter would be available.

Giving birth in Germany was the BEST Labor & delivery experience I have ever had.  And I am so greatful that I got to experience it.

David also has a German birth certificate and a American Birth certificate.  He is our little german boy.  Someday, we hope to take a trip back to Germany and show him where he was born and where he lived the first year of his life.

oh, and did I mention, I got my Blond headed baby.  And I do mean Blond!  His eyes were blue but have since changed to a blue/grey just like his sister.

Here is a picture of David—No even 24 hours old.  This is the picture we used on his birth announcements.

David was born in Germany.  Stuttgart, Germany.  He shares a birthday with his big cousin Brock who is 5 years older than him.  David’s middle name is after several important people.  His papa (Eric’s dad), His Uncle Troy (Eric’s Brother) and Chris (Our nephew, son of Troy).

David’s first name comes from my favorite Uncle.  My Uncle David. David is the ONLY child that has a first name or any name for that matter named after my side of the family.  However, Daniel was the one that actually thought of it.  I took it a step further and asked my aunt Michelle if it would be okay to name him after my Uncle David.  And let me tell you, he fits the name to a tee.

Now, he is a Big 4 year old.  I can’t believe how fast time flies by.  Next year, he will be heading off to kindergarten.

He likes to watch Mickey Mouse Club House, The backyardigans and he NEW favorite is the Upside Down Show.  I think because one of the guys names on it is David.

He loves to give Eye Kisses.  And is forever asking us if we want an eye kiss. He loves to draw and color.  At 1.5 years old he was riding a scooter with no problems.  He looks adorable riding it.

His new favorite thing to say when he is eating ice cream is “brain freeze” even if he doesn’t have one.  He can almost do a headstand.

He loves riding his three-wheeler (not a real one-this one you have to pedal).  He is like his sister in that he absolutely LOVES putting puzzles together.  He loves taking baths and he loves getting his hair cut.  He likes to play catch.  He also love to clean up.  He is mommies helper and daddys buddy.  Every morning we stand on the front porch and he will wave to his daddy until he can’t see him anymore.  If he misses doing this, he will be quiet upset.

He says just about every day. “I am a boy, and I am HAPPY!”  That is music to our ears.  He loves to ‘read’ books and he loves to be read to.  He is just full of ziggers and funny sayings.  He cracks us up.  You can tell he is the baby of our family.  Although, don’t call him a baby or he will scold you!!!

He looks a lot like my husband side of the family.  He does have a dimple in his chin that he gets from me.  I think he looks a LOT like my mother in law!  Which is a good thing.  She is really a pretty lady. (no, not sucking up, it is the truth.)  It really is a shame that she has never meet him in person.

Here is a more recent picture of David–though not very current he does still look like this, just a little bigger.

David has also prays at the dinner table when it is his turn.  I love to hear him pray it is so sweet….so innocent.  I do sometime before he gets too old want to video tape it without him knowing. He bows his head and puts his little hands together.

David completes our family.  I am so blessed to have him and my other 3 children in my life.

Some people ask me if I regret having 4 kids.  The answer…..NO!  I wouldn’t change how many kids I have.  Not ever!  I do know my mother is happy that we have stopped and So I am.  We were purchasing diapers for 10 years straight….Imagine that cost.

About Aimee

August 20, 2008 · 5 Comments

Hey Guys,

This one is about my only daughter.

We were not planning on having another child SO very close in age to Daniel.  However, Aimee was a Surprise un-planned blessings.  You know, one of those deployment Uh-Oh’s.  Aimee is our Egypt baby.  The reason…..We found our I was expecting her about 8 weeks after Eric got back from a Egypt Deployment.

Daniel was only 9 months old.  They are exactly 18 months and 2 days apart.  A lot of people ask us if they are twins because they are SO close in height to each other.  And you can tell they are brother and sister.

Aimee was born on her grandfathers birthday.  She loves that. (Matter of fact she will be having her 10th birthday soon.)  And one day before her Aunt Leslie’s birthday.

Aimee also stands approx 5 feet tall.  She has brown/Auburn Hair and the prettiest blue/grey eyes you have ever seen. She is in the 5th grade.  She is very eclectic.  Some of her favorite items of clothing is her BRIGHT crocheted Winter cap that is done in RAINBOW colors.  She also has a Rainbow matching headband and Rainbow toe sock.  you know they are the socks that fit like gloves.  And a Bright rainbow scarf to match.

When Aimee was 5 years old.  On Christmas Day, she was VERY ill.  She couldn’t even open up her gifts.  She opened up a few and Eric opened up the rest for her.  Needless to say, it was not a good Christmas for her.  The next morning, she was running 105.5 fever.  Eric Took her to the E.R.  She stayed there for 7 straight days.  She was really sick.  She was dehydrated and had moderate to severe Pneumonia.

This is were Aimee’s life goals originated from.  She wants to be a TraumaDoctor.  She wants to be a trauma doctor so bad that she had her Aunt Shawna send her a stethoscope.  Not just any…a REAL one.  And she loves it.  She even has kid doctor scrubs. And her hospital stay was in Germany.  She did SO well.  The trouble was.  I was not permitted to go and see her.  I was pregnant with David at the time.  And, the Doctors figured better safe than sorry.

Aimee is very school oriented.  She gets Straight A’s.  In Spelling her average last year was 105!  For the whole year.  Through out the whole school year she only missed 3 words on all spelling tests combine.  And she has good common sense.

In The third grade at the beginning of the year. Her teacher had them perform a play.  Aimee loved it.  Her teacher love it.  Her teachers always praise her.  Makes me so proud that she is my daughter.  Next year, she has a chance to take a drama class and she is so excited about that.

Aimee loves to sing, Dance, play with her friends. She also loves to make Jewelry.  She has made some gorgeous necklaces.  She loves putting puzzles together.  Not easy puzzles either.  She doesn’t have just one friend.  She has a group of friends 7 in all.  She believes that all girls are princesses.  And her favorite colors are Pink and Purple.

Aimee has actions and writes a lot like my sister.  I see my sister in her every time she sits down to do her homework.  Or writes in her Journal.

For Christmas she wants a real pink Guitar.  She wants to learn how to play.  Guess, I am going to have to get my Uncle David (her great-Uncle of course) down here to teach her.  She also wants to learn how to play piano.  We have to get her electric piano a stand.  I can teach her the basics and a little beyond in piano.  However, I would like someone else to teach her the more advanced piano.

She loves eating together as a family for dinner.  If we happen to let them eat in the play room or somewhere else it most often irritates Aimee to no end.  That is their time to connect with us.  And we love it.  We always strive to eat Dinner at the table.  It really is a fun time.

She LOVES ART.  Anything with Art.  She loves to paint.  She loves to make crafty things.  Just anything.  We think it is sort of funny because her initials spell Art.

We have always told Aimee that she is our Work of Art.  Aimee LOVES to go to church.  She love to learn about Jesus.  She is also saved and Baptized.  This girl can pray like she is 40 years old.

Aimee just loves to get involved with just about everything she can.  However, She doesn’t want to do Cheerleading.  I don’t understand that.  I participated in several years of cheerleading.

We figure she has the right mind set to actually become her dream of being a Trauma Doctor because she is so fun, smart witted, has a great since of humor and is very eclectic.  Something, I think every E.R./Trauma Doctor needs and I have seen some fun, wacky trauma doctors.  And I think that sometimes helps ease patients.  Although, I could be WAY off there.  Because, I am just a mom.

One thing about Aimee. She does get annoyed With her brothers.  My goodness, I think I would to if I had a older brother and two younger brothers and no sister.  There are times that she has gotten upset with us for not giving her a sister.  But now, she is over that.    She has a lot in common with my mom.  My mom was the only girl out of 8 kids.  Can you imagine having 7 brothers and being the only girl?

My mom always tells the story of her brother Freddie (I believe it is Freddie) and how he took apart on of her dolls.  I believe it was a chatty Cathy.  Mom will correct me on that if I am wrong.  Aimee’s brother’s have done anything like that…….YET!  Just give’m time.

Here is a picture of my beautiful Daughter.  Again, We are so blessed that God chose her for us.  She has made such an impact on us and our family.  She evens everything out.

I forgot to mention that Aimee LOVES to watch Fox News Network.  Her favorite Host on Fox News is Brian.  She actually watches the news for about an hour before having to catch the bus.  And it has to be on Fox News.  No other will do.  She is keeping up with the election.  And she is so very concerned about the little girl Caylee missing in Florida.

About Daniel

August 19, 2008 · 5 Comments

Hey Guys,

Since I did a long post about Zachary on the post called “Update…”.  I thought it would be fun to tell you about my other three kids in detail.  So we will start with my oldest.

Daniel, I call him my Miracle baby. Why is he such a miracle.  My first pregnancy end in Miscarriage at 12.5 weeks along.  It was a HORRIBLE miscarriage.  Something, I wouldn’t wish on anyone.  Three months after my miscarriage we found that I was expecting-AGAIN.  We waited to tell people that we were expecting for fear of loosing the pregnancy baby.  That didn’t happen.  I did get very sick at then end.  With what we think was pre-eclampsia.  I gain 100 pounds with him and within a week of him being born, I was back to my pre-pregnancy weight.

Daniel out of all my kids was the smallest at birth 7.7 1/2 pounds.  He was born with a head FULL of hair. So sweet.  He was born a little over a week after Eric and I celebrated our 3rd year wedding anniversary.

Now, now he is a great kid.  Eleven years old.  In the sixth grade and stands about 5′ feet tall. He still has that head full of hair-Dirty Blond.  He has my green eyes.  And his looks take after his papa (Eric’s Dad).

Daniel is a awesome reader.  He has a strong vocabulary.  And I credit that to his dad.  His dad always speaks with ‘big’ words.  So does Daniel.  When he was 5 years old he could tell you he was frustrated and use it correctly in the sentence.

Daniels favorite things are to play football, basketball, and play with his best friend Colton.  He and Colton created a game called 800.  It really is a pretty cool game.  It is a ball catching game.  Daniel also enjoys getting on the computer.  He is also into XBOX.  And anything NARUTO. He also loves his Tech Decks.  Within the last 6 months he has shown a interest in drawing.  And he is doing very well at that. Daniel and his buddy Colton go on evening runs during the week.  They run around the sub-division.  To get a good work out.

Daniel’s first name is actually Daniel-Jacob.

Daniels favorite foods are : peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, Sweet Potatoes, cheese pizza, waffles, pizza rolls, and pancakes.  He also likes Chocolate chip pancakes. Daniel is an EXTREME picky eater.

Daniel is left handed. Daniel is a great kid and usually (I say usually because he does have his moments) well-behaved. He is a worrier.  He has a great attitude on life. He makes friends very easily.  He is just an all around great kid.

Daniel has ambitious dreams.  He wants to become a Scientist.  He wants to find a Cure for All Cancer’s.  When we sit down to our dinner.  And it is his turn to say Grace.  He prays for all Cancer Patients.  He is such a great kid.  I don’t know of another 11 year old boy that would pray for such a thing.  I am so proud of him for that.

He is so smart, intelligent, has a great wit about him, can be funny when he wants to be.  He is a wonderful son and brother.  God blessed our family tremendously when he gave us Daniel.

I hope you all have some sort of kid like Daniel in your lives.  And if you do, I bet you feel truley blessed as Eric and I do.

Hope you all have a Magnificent Day!

Lots of Stuff goin’ on..

August 18, 2008 · 3 Comments

Hey Guys,

How ya’ll doing?  Really, how have you all been.  I know it has been almost a week since I last posted.

Lets see…Zachary stayed home from school on Friday.  He didn’t have streap—Thank Goodness.  However, the nurse was concerned enough because of his symptoms that she thought it would be better for him to be at home.  Boy, was she right.  The next day, he was lestless, horse, runny nose, and by the end of the day—had NO voice.  He did go to school today.

Kids are really liking School.  Daniel even started on his school work almost immediatley after getting home from school.  He made himself a snack and then started in on his homework.  Last year, we had to constantly be after him to do his work.

Aimee is always on the ball with her lessons. She has such a great attitude with learning and school.  Sometimes, she does get overwhelmed.  She just finds a way to deal with it and doesn’t let it get the best of her.

Zachary did have to pull a card on Thursday.  So no hot wheel was given to him on Friday.  We told him he has to ‘work’ at being good and minding the teacher is one of those lessons he needs to learn.

Eric starts school in a week.  He is so ready to be done with it.  However, he is doing REALLY well.  I believe he has a 3.7 grade point adverage.  It could be a touch higher.  But that is the last I heard him say when he was talking about it.  In addition to working at Hobby Lobby, He will be a pier-mentor for the students.  He is taking that VERY seriously.

I am getting a little tickle in my throat.  I SO hope that doesn’t mean that I am getting sick.  When I get sick, I still have to work. And we (Eric, Myself and David) are going to go on a much NEEDED shopping trip on Friday. So I CAN’T get sick.  My headbands are doing very well.  And that is keeping me pretty busy.

The last few evenings and nights here in TN have been just gorgeous.  The temps are so cool.  I am loving it.  During the day it is still pretty hot though.

Let’s see…what else.  OH, They are annoucing the new Dancing With The Stars-Stars a week from today!  I can’t wait to see who the stars are and what professional dancers are coming back this season.  Gosh, I think that is the only thing on Television, that I am looking forward too this fall.  I don’t watch too much television to begin with.  During the day, I might watch an hour and a half at most.  Sometimes it is not even 45 mintues worth of TV time.  And I really don’t have any night time shows that I watch.  Except when Dancing with The Stars is on.

I do watch ole’ movies with Eric.  I am finding that I love ole movies.

Daniel and Aimee say there throats are hurting as well so I am off to make some Ramon Noodles.  My kids favorite thing to eat with a sore throat.  They like to drink the juice.  So that is what we are having for dinner tonight.

Have a wonderful evening!
