Snow Day!!!!

Hey Guys!

We are having a SNOW DAY today! It snowed on us last night and we didn’t even expect it to.

The roads in our sub-division are horrible as well as all the main roads in town. The sun hasn’t even tried to come out today and I can see the kids having tomorrow out of school as well. We probably got about an inch or two of snow. Not much. But it did stick and the roads are showing us just how slick and icy everything is. Black ice is the worst!

Eric has class today-he check every 15 minutes to see if class were close since all of our County is closed as well as the next towns over into KY and into TN.

He emailed me when he got to school. What drive usually takes him around 15 mintues took him 45 mintues today. And then upon arriving to school he has found out that one of his morning class has been canceled. And his next class didn’t start until 10:30. So he is using that time to get caught up on his reading and such. He says he fears the drive home is going to be worse tonight. I told him to leave earlier so it would be daylight even if he had to skip out on class early. I have a feeling though all his other class today will either start late or not at all. I get nervous driving in weather like this. And the front tires on our Car isn’t all that great. Doesn’t have a whole lot of tread left in them. I told him to email me before he left.

This does it though—We are getting him a pre-paid Cell phone. We did have a cell phone that we paid on monthly…however, in the long run it was no use to us because we hardly even used the minutes. That was money just down the drain to us. But the pre-paid will be useful to us.

Here is a picture of the Christmas Tea light Candle Lamps that I mentioned earlier. I paid $4.00 a piece for them. They were regulary $19.99 a piece and I received $0.99 shipping on each one. For a total shipping cost of $2.97. I think I did really good. The only thing I didn’t like was how Kohls packaged them. The base could have cracked very easily but thankgoodness they didn’t.

Now, I have got to tell you all about another site I have found. It is for books. And since I love to purchase cookbooks…I REALLY love this place. I have found some very good deals on it lately.

It is called Book Closeouts. I purchased my Sandra Lee Collection of 200 recipes New in Red tin for $8.99. At books stores they wanted $19.99 for it. I am very pleased with there packaging and the variety of books they do have. My children and husband are all big readers. So I was thrilled to find this place. And it seems like they get new books in all the time. They even have a scratch and dent section.

I think I am going to be making grill cheese Sandwich for lunch. Get something warm into my kids bodies for lunch. And I have NO idea what I am going to make for dinner tonight. I thought about having breakfast for dinner tonight. I just might have to make pancakes for dinner. I don’t know—-I guess we will see.
